Do you spay or neuter pets?
No. Only minor surgical procedures such as lacerations, quill removal, and lump removals with light sedation are performed.
What are your operating hours?
We are open from 9 AM to 5PM, Monday to Thursday. Available veterinary appointments coincide with school schedule so they may vary. Please call or check our facebook page for more specific scheduling information.
Do you sell pet food or treats
Yes, we have some prescription dog and cat diets and treat options made by Royal Canin, Hills and PVD. Please call ahead to ensure we have it in stock. You can also order online at https://huntersvet.clientvantage.ca for no additional fee
Is there still an option for a housecall visit? Do additional fees apply?
Yes, we understand the need for a housecall visit for many reasons. We typically do housecalls on Tuesdays, but we try our best to accommodate if it is a more urgent appointment or it does not work for your schedule. Yes, there are additional fees, please call or text for pricing.
I hear your office does not have a waiting room, how does this work?
That is correct. Waiting rooms area source of stress for the pet and owner and we try our best to keep this visit as gentle as possible. When you arrive please call or text us to let us know. You will access your exam room by the covered deck on the south side. Your room will be indicated as ready for you when the green light outside the door is turned on.
I have to say goodbye to our pet, what are my aftercare options?
We are so very sorry for your very sad and difficult situation. We typically use Angel Hill Pet Cremation located in Stettler, AB. 403-742-7661. Private and communal cremation options are available.
